Both the Ulnar nerve Entrapment and cervical radiculopathy share the same set of symptoms but the root cause differs , Ulnar nerve entrapment involves peripheral nerve compression at the elbow or wrist, whereas cervical radiculopathy involves nerve root compression in the neck ; hence their risk diagnosis and treatment strategies differ significantly. What is Ulnar Nerve Entrapment?

As the name suggests this condition occurs when the ulnar nerve is entrapped , irritated or compressed anywhere along its path from neck to hand. Most probably this entrapment occurs at the cubital tunnel at the elbow and Guyon's canal at the wrist. Hence this condition is also known as cubital tunnel syndrome or Guyon's canal syndrome.

• Diagnosed by Physical examination , MRI and Electromyography (EMG)
• Treatment methods include avoiding aggravating activities, and using a cervical collar and medications like Pain relievers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and corticosteroids and physical exercises to improve strength ,injections for inflammation and surgery (discectomy or spinal fusion) in case other treatment methods fail.

• Diagnosis Tools:Both conditions make use of physical exams and imaging studies, but nerve conduction studies are more specific for ulnar nerve entrapment, while cervical radiculopathy may also require an EMG.
• Treatment Approaches:Both require well rest, physical therapy, and medications, but specific surgical interventions differ based on the nerve affected and the exact location of compression.
