After much demand, I’ve finally put together a table with the Chinese numbers from 1-100. I’m sure you’ll notice a trend in how you form numbers from 11-99. See if you can figure it out on your own. I even went ahead and threw in the number zero for no extra charge!

When learning how to count in Chinese, it’s also useful to learn the hand signals for the numbers 1-10. Obviously, 1-5 are pretty much the same as anywhere, but China has a unique way of counting from 6-10:

Use one hand to count to 10 in China.

@hulnheb I’m trying to learn Chinese but my problem is some of the words are difficult to pronounce especially when “/,\,^,-” are used above a word and writing the characters also.

      • Reply

        Gregg:

@Tamukong Vitalis Shu Those marks actually help you know if your voice should rise, fall, stay high, or do a low curve down and up… Just follow the direction the marks go.
