I was honored to attend the first-ever Hudson County Food Security Task Force Summit yesterday. It was inspiring to meet so many dedicated individuals working towards better access to healthy food and greater equity in our county. With food insecurity on the rise, the need in our community has become more evident. In 2023, the Hoboken Community Center saw a 40% increase in households requiring supplemental food, and we anticipate this number will grow in 2024. Please consider supporting your local food pantries by volunteering or making a donation.

What a great spotlight! Lindsay sparked my own journey into volunteering with #HPEF years ago. It all began when our oldest kids were in elementary school, and Lindsay, who became a close friend during that time, introduced me to the wonderful women at HPEF. I recall my first gala experience in 2019, which feels like a million years ago! Since then, time has flown by with countless events, the expansion of our schools, and the strengthening of our community. I am so proud of Lindsay and her unwavering support of our children’s education and the enhancement of their public school experience!

Got to attend the Women In Development, New York Women Who Lead event today at NYU School of Professional Studies with Laura Fredericks and Veronica Dagher! The event provided valuable insights, reinforcing the idea that making requests without unnecessary complications is possible. I’m eager to dive into Laura’s new book, anticipating it will offer additional strategies for both my personal and professional growth.
