Ivar started with the MWF in 2021

Big Little Brawlers star Ivar, whose real name is Dylan Highly, toldTV Insiderabout how he got started with the Micro Wrestling Federation.

"I started in 2021," he explained.

"I was miserable at my job. I went to a show in St. Louis, Missouri. My band was going to open up for the wrestling show.

"I was a lead singer of a band called Three And A Half Men. I’m the half. I sang Godsmack, Disturbed, System of a Down, and Shinedown. All the alternative rock stuff.

"At the last minute, they decided they needed the stage for more seating because it was a sold-out show. I was so mad they canceled that I almost didn’t go. I went to the show and met all the guys.

"Three months later I took a lunch break from the day job and called and said, 'I hate my job. I’m trying to get out.'

"They brought me on contract for a 14-day contract with 13 shows. It was $100 a night. Bare minimum and that was my foot in the door."

'This is going to be something huge'

Big Little Brawlers star Ivar, whose real name is Dylan Highly, spoke to TV Insider about his hopes for the show.

"This is going to be something huge," the wrestler said.

"I know there are other organizations and companies and TV shows that have been done about little people and the struggles we face.

"Nothing has been done like this because of Micro Wrestling, the job we do, and the aspect of family life. How much we travel."

He added, "This company does 550 shows a year between two groups. We go from Florida to Maryland To Grand Junction, Colorado."

MWF puts on several shows per year

The Micro Wrestling Federation performs over 550 shows a year from coast to coast, including 4 shows a week during certain months.

The shows are performed at their own 300-seat mini arena in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Big Little Brawlers will give viewers a front-row seat behind the scenes of the MWF.

The Micro Wrestling Federation can be best described as “a full-scale, WWE-type event supported by an entire cast under five feet tall.

“Founded in 2000, the MWF is the longest-running organization within the Little Person wrestling industry; no other company has performed in more events since our inception,” according to the federation’s website.

The highlight of the show is the six micro-tag as all the stars get a chance to wrestle to end the night.

Pinky, Syko, Hot Rod, Baby Jesus. Lil Show and more are fighting in the tag match.

Ivar comments on the match and says it gets him amped up and makes him want to wrestle a match even more.

Little show redneck brawler takes a stinger on the outside after Hot Rod throws him outside the ring.

Things get heated backstage after the fight as Little show redneck brawler confronts Hot Rod claiming if he gets hurt he won't be able to feed his family.
